Coat of arms, family and heir names

The two constituent parts 'hasel' and 'hof' are easy to explain at first glance. Hasel is the German word for hazel and hof is the synonym for yard or farm. However, the coat of arms on the tombstone of Derck Haselhoff in Wedde depicts a hare and not a hazel.

family archive

In the more than thirty years of the Family Foundation's existence, the family archive has expanded enormously, mainly thanks to contributions and donations from relatives and donors. Many meters of archive material, including hundreds of scanned and original photos, are stored at the secretariat of the Foundation. Some very valuable objects, donated by family members, are safely stored in a safe. Including a special pipe, a family bible from 1818 and eighteen different volumes of Hazelhoff's Almanac. A selection of these objects, photos and documents is exhibited during family days.
