Family day


To promote contact between the Family Foundation and the donors and between family members themselves, the board regularly organizes a family day. The aim is to organize a family day every two years.



Family Day 2020


The board of the Family Foundation intended to hold the next family meeting on Sunday, October 4, 2020, but due to the corona crisis and its expected aftermath, it has been decided to move this special family day (30th anniversary of the Family Foundation) to 2022.

Family Day 2018 - Leek

Our ninth family day was held at Nienoord Castle in Leek on 6 October 2018. It was a beautiful day with around sixty participants who enjoyed the program, the beautiful entourage and the weather in a very relaxed and family atmosphere.

Family Day 2016 - Epe

The 8th Family Day of the Haselhoff Family Foundation was held on Saturday September 24, 2016.

This time the board had chosen as the location for hotel/restaurant Dennenheuvel, Heerderweg 27, 8161 BK in the municipality of Epe on the Veluwe, 15 kilometers from Zwolle. A beautiful place, bordering the forest and with enough space to receive many family members.

It was a beautiful day, sunny and with a very nice atmosphere. The relatives gathered together and were able to enjoy a truly excellent lunch. The forest walk was also well received.

Family Day 2014 - Veenhuizen (Drenthe)

The 7th Family Day was held on Saturday October 4, 2014. The theme was the 25th anniversary of the Haselhoff Family Foundation.A wonderful day with fantastic weather, a beautiful and varied program in a very special location and above all with almost 100 participants. The reactions below show how much this family day was appreciated.

Family Day 2012 - Wedde

The sixth family day on September 29, 2012 in Wedde was a special day. Not only because the turnout was great, as was the case with the previous family days, but during this day one could also visit the beautifully restored Wedde Castle, and in particular one of the rooms dedicated to the relationship between the castle and the Haselhoff family. take shape, bears the name Haselhoff Sociëteit. A visit was also made to the church and cemetery with family graves from the 17th and 18th centuries.

Family Day 2010 - Lhee (Drenthe)

During the family day on September 18, 2010 in hotel De Börken in Lhee, the New Chronicle of the Haselhoff family was officially presented. Many family members from the Netherlands, but also from abroad were present.

Family Day 2004 - Ouwehands Zoo, Rhenen

On September 25, 2004, the fourth family day took place in Ouwehands Zoo in Rhenen.


Family Day 2001 - 't Loo, Apeldoorn

A meeting followed on 12 May 2001 in Apeldoorn, opposite Het Loo Palace. A tour was held and the day was given a special touch by the presence of Erik Hazelhoff Roelfzema, Soldier of Orange, former aide-de-camp of Queen Wilhelmina and friend of Prince Bernhard. Many family members take the opportunity to have Erik's book 'Looking for life' signed by him. Relatives from Argentina also visited this family day.


Family Day 1995 - Oranjewoud

Oranjewoud was the meeting place on September 30, 1995. In addition to a pleasant get-together, one could enjoy a beautiful show with Frisian Horses, organized by Roelof Hazelhoff.


Family Day 1991 - Wedde

The first family day was held on April 27, 1991 in Wedde en Bourtange. On the occasion of this day, three oak trees were donated to the municipality of Bellingwedde. These trees symbolize the family coat of arms and emphasize the relationship of the Haselhoff family with the Burcht in Wedde. They have been planted in the vicinity of the castle together with a memorial sign.
